I need a page that needs to be published but not on the menu, How do I prevent the new page from being added to the menu?

    Thanks!

  • Use a custom menu – and don’t include that page…

    Thanks for responding.
Are you saying replace the Responsive theme menu with a custom menu? The Responsive theme automatically creates a menu structure.

Yes, custom menus replace the default menu structure – but most people use the custom menu option as it gives you much more control over your site. Custom menus are part of WP Core.

I tried what you describe, however the custom menu does not replace the default menu. If I make the custom menu the ‘Top’ menu, its at the very top of the page. Makes sense. If I make the custom menu the ‘Header’ menu all goes blank. What am I doing wrong?

OK, I got it! It didn’t seem to work the first time, but it does now. Thank you.
