Hide menu link from author account

Please, follow the steps below:

1. Open the “/wp-content/plugins/search-in-place/codepeople_search_in_place.php” file with the text editor of your choice.

2. Go to the piece of text: 'read' (it appears two times in the file)

and replace them with 'manage_options'

That’s all.

I did what you said but still the menu option shows as like earlier.

Ok I recheck it and it went away..so its working..

But I have a doubt..when the plugin is updated then this modification will go away?

Can you provide some code we can put in child theme functions.php so it does not come back even after an plugin update?

It won’t be needed because the modification will be included in the official distribution.
