No, there isn’t but it is a good idea. It would not be too hard to add that as a configuration option, I will will look at doing that for the next release which is TBD right now.

That would be great and thanks for the great plugin.

I had a chance to do some work on the plugin today and this functionality will be in the next release. I’ll probably have a beta version out tomorrow.

The ability to hide this option is in the 4.8.2 beta release if you’d like to test it.

Hey Mike, thanks for the update. I finally got around to testing this out but it did not work for me, assuming of course that i am doing it right. I unchecked the [Display Notification Widget] option and saved the changes but the Notify Users still appeared under the pages sub-menu. Did I miss something?

Nope, I did. The checkbox controls the appearance on the post/page editing page but I forgot about the menu itself. I’ll try and do another beta build today.

I finally had some time to address this, there is another option (because if I had tied them together someone would complain) to turn off the Notify Menus on the Dashboard under the Posts/Page sections.

Details and beta release can be found here.

    Hey Mike

I tried to download the beta but chrome gave me all kinds of warnings when connecting to your site about malicious content. I managed to bypass that and download the beta anyway but chrome blocked it and labeled it as malicious.

I have fixed the warning and Google has given the all clear sign for my web site. Not sure what happened there, there was bunch of odd Javascript links in some of my WordPress header files.

Great work Mike. Works like a charm. Thanks a lot.

This functionality has been formally released in 4.8.2.
