• Hi there!

I noticed that when adding products to the cart, there’s a module at the bottom suggesting items to add right away (You may be interested in…). We believe these could be related products, cross-sells, and/or up-sells (if not wrong!).

However, I’ve noticed that some of the suggestions include products that are currently “out of stock.” This isn’t ideal because we don’t want to recommend products that customers cannot purchase.

Is there any way we can prevent these out-of-stock items from being suggested to customers?

    Thank you so much!

    Hi @gmongrut ,

If products on your site has the Backorder enabled, these won’t be considered completely out of stock when they can be backordered. Our plugin will remove the out of stock items from the suggesteed product list only when it’s truly exhausted or unpurchasable.

    Best regards.

    Hello there,

In our case, some items are out of stock and can’t be bought. No backorder is allowed (this option is disabled).

Still, out of stock items are suggested. Either related products, cross-sells and/or upsells.

Is there a way to avoid these unavailable products to be suggested?

    Thank you again! ??

    Hi @gmongrut ,

Are you using any caching plugin or saving caches on your site? This might be the reason.

Since stock must be updated in the real time for our plugin to reflect it properly, if caches are saved, the stock for out of stock items might not be able to be updated promptly or appear as not completely out of stock. We received some reports about stock not updated in the real time with caching plugins or inventory/warehouse management plugins.

Maybe you should check it again to be sure.

    Best regards.

    Hi there, Janilyn,

I have verified what you mentioned above. I do have a caching plugin and a stock management plugin. I have done some testing and deactivated both plugins (one at a time). Unfortunately, the issue persists even after clearing all possible caches and deactivating any potentially conflicting plugins.

Do you have any other insights that could help, please?

    Thank you so much! ??
