• Hi, I have used WP All Import (WPAI) to upload and maintain a product file in WooCommerce, and checked ‘delete products no longer found in your file’. I also have ‘hide out of stock products from catalog’ checked in WooCommerce inventory settings.

The WPAI plugin successfully adds and removes simple products, and removes variations from variable products. However, if I discontinue a product – ie, remove all variations at once from my file – it does remove all variations from the variable product, but that product remains live on the front end of the site. Essentially as a shell: IE the image, description, title etc remain, but it has a ‘out of stock’ message.

I’d be happy to leave the shell of the former product live on the front end, as long as it’s hidden from the catalog & search. But I can’t find a way to hide it.

As a test, I manually removed all variations from a variable product, to see whether the problem recurred, it didn’t. It was successfully hidden from the catalog.

Any ideas what is causing this, and how I can get around it, would be hugely appreciated.

    Thanks.

I use WPAI on a site and after modifying products, they maddingly don’t seem to change.

Go to WooCommerce -> System Status -> Tools and clear transiennts, expired transients, and reset counts. Next, you’ll have to wait for several Woo-related cron jobs to run that will force Woo to update its internal caches of products. You may be able to hasten this by using the url

Sterndata, I think you’re on to something, but following the steps above hasn’t resolved the problem.

Is there any other way to update the products in bulk? ie, refresh the products as such.

    Thanks
