Hide page

  • Hi!
    Im totally new with WP.
    I want to develop a site and keep all pages hidden until I choose to show/publish it. How do I do that?

  • Well, I wouldn’t worry so much about keeping it hidden as you’re building it since it takes so long for a new site to be found anyway. Unless you’ve given the domain name out to friends, etc., and don’t want them to see it.

    use a “maintenance mode” or “coming soon” type plugin.
    there are multiple types available depending on your needs.
    some are very simple, some offer many options.
    the purpose of all is to block the normal visitor from seeing the stuff under development while allowing admins to work on stuff.
