Sorry, but I don’t see the <div class=”wp-menu-name”> Plugins <span class=”update-plugins count-1″> error in that image.

It’s not an error – it’s a ‘notification’
a red badge – can you see it?

Also there is an update notification showing on dashboard

That is strange. We are currently working on a new version of this plugin and will look into this.

And also the out of date plugin is shown in – red which defeats the purpose of the ‘disable’ function.

This looks like something has changed in WordPress causing it not to work properly. That or your other plugin and/or themes on your website are conflicting with Disable Updates Manager.
