Hide post after a certain date passes

Hi.
I was wondering if it is possible for wordpress to automatically hide/remove a post when a certain date passes.

I was hoping to post a number of events and would like them to be removed or hidden from my blog when they pass their event date.

Can anyone think of any plugins that may be available? I’ve researched a good bit but couldn’t find anything relevant.
