Hi.

Currently on our single product page, the product title is repeating. The name of the product is showing twice, on the page title bar and also beside the product image, I think it’s a title in an H2 tag. Is is possible to hide the second h2 and replace it with a custom data?

I created a custom field using ACF. So if the custom field is not empty, then I would like to display it instead of the second product title. Is this possible to do and how?

Hiding that product title can probably be done by adding custom CSS like display:none. If you’d like us to take a look, please share a link to your product.

To learn more about CSS, I highly recommend using the free tutorials at w3schools. Here, you can find the basics of selectors (how to target the right element on the page), and properties (how to change the element on the page).

Thank you for your response.

Yes, that’s the first thing that I did, I set the display to none, it removed all the second title. However there are a lot of products on the site that currently has no data from the custom field which I created using ACF, let’s call this field for example custom_sub_title. So for products with empty custom_sub_title we would like to display the title of the product, else, display the data from custom_sub_title field.

Thanks for clarifying! That definitely requires additional code – just CSS isn’t enough.

My suggestion is that you reach out to ACF’s support to see if they might have a solution they can provide – this might have come up in the past for them.

I’m going to leave this open for a bit to see if anyone from the community is able to chime in to help you out.
