  • the site uses frames, the source isnt hidden. you cant hide source code.

    ALL he’s doing is loading his typepad site in a frame:

    <!-- Who are You -->
    <frameset  rows="100%,*" border="0" framespacing="0">
      <frame name="top" src="https://horribledictu.typepad.com." marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="auto" frameborder="0">
    </frameset>

    whooami

    does this mess with indexing, rss, etc.? i notice i don’t see the rss icon in the browser.

    i won’t ask how one can see the source code on this site, someone else will ??

    you can see the source code by loading the page in the frame. its right here, and Its clearly visible in what I pasted.

    youre talking about the autodetection of feeds, like inside FF?

    This person probably set up a typepad blog, and later decided to buy a domain. Rather than duplicate the content within the new site, he’s using frames.

    interesting.

    so maybe everything is ok… even with frame setup a quick search on google turns up the domain.com rather than the domain.typepad.com

    i notice now that FF finds the source via domain.com once you pull up domain.typepad.com

    my initial thought in this thread was this blogger’s purpose was a way for folks not to be able to examine their code.

    anyway, if obama loses maybe this blog will implode and all it moot ??

    thanks,

    if obama loses maybe this blog will implode and all it moot ??

    uh yeah right. is my blog going to implode as well? You cant possibly think that supporting a candidate that loses makes one go away?

    I hear some republicans want to raise the voting age since the 18-25 year olds are too duumb to realize the error of their ways when it comes to supporting Obama.

    Utterly fascinating that that suggestion should come from the people that are calling him a Socialist or Marxist (take your pick).

    Oh and another thing, Congrats to Connecticut. Well done. Four down.

    I didnt open the political door in this thread.

    ah! yep, should have known better. two weeks ago i posted a political thingy in my design blog regarding the bailout, i.e., looking for ” design ” responses… lol

    and i know the creator of the aforementioned blog. if obama loses, the blog won’t implode but she would…

    connecticut, a coastal city. not so surprising. but kansas and north dakota! enough said about this stuff, i am shutting my door…
