Hide tags from scheduled posts

    How can one hide tags assigned to posts scheduled in the future?

    For example, if you go to the tag page for the site and click on “spam” you’ll get a “Nothing Found” response. This is because the post using the “spam” tag is scheduled to be posted a couple months from now.

    I’d like it if tags that only exist in a scheduled future post would be hidden until the post is actually published. Otherwise, I think it will create user confusion.

  • Could you please post the shortcode for one of the tag clouds where “spam” appears? Do you use the parameter “hide_empty=0”? (or the corresponding setting in a Gutenberg block) If so, could you set it to hide_empty=1 or just completely remove it?

    Boom! Removing “hide_empty=0” from the shortcodes did the trick!
