    Hi Paul,

Yes, it is possible to hide/block selected menu items of WordPress admin back-end menu for the selected role with Pro version:
    https://www.role-editor.com/block-admin-menu-items

If you wish to block the “Appearance->Themes” menu item you may meet a problem: the top level “Appearance” menu is linked to the same page as the “Themes”, but you can not hide “Appearance” menu as you need access to its submenu items. If you does not give ‘switch_themes’ capability to the ‘Editor’ role, just ‘edit_theme_options’ one, then ‘Editor’ will see just the active theme at the “Themes” page. So it’s not so critical.

    Hello

I need the contrary – how to add widgets and menus to editors – ONLY those 2. OK if they see the theme as long as they cannot edit it anything else than menus and widgets. Is it possible? I did what you said above – edit themes options – but then I see the customize and header and background – I don’t want theme to customize or anything else.

I also see settings – tools – and a bunch of plugins that they could edit on the left. Way too many things they could screw up. Just adding widgets and menus to the editor basic permissions would be perfect.

Thank you for your help ??
