Hide Web Stories in Site Search Results

    Web Stories by default do not show up in site search. You don’t need any mini-plugin for that.

    From what I can see, your Blocksy theme is responsible for adding stories regardlessly. If you try another theme you will see that this won’t happen.

    At first glance I don’t see a way for our plugin to work around this, so I recommend you to report this to Blocksy support.

    In technical terms, they should really honor the exclude_from_search setting of the post types in WordPress. Currently they don’t.

    I did read that they should be excluded but if not there is the plugin that may work.

    Originally I thought it was a theme issue and you have confirmed this, much appreciated. I will send this info onto my client and hopefully it can be fixed.
