    Hi,

Logically an website owner why would filter a empty category using this widget? This widget is meant to filter posts from a specific category. ??

Still it can be implemented. Would you mind to submit an issue on Github repo?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your quick answer.
Yes of course it shows posts from a category, and that’s what I need, but sometimes a specific category is empty because I delete some articles to add new articles times after (like Offers because there isn’t always Offers), then, when the category is empty, the widget is hidden. That’s what I meant ^^
    I’m sorry I don’t have an account on Github…

    But thank you (:

    Hello Kerzzy,

what would be a good solution for you? That show then a text, if there are no posts?

In my experience, users take the widget from the page, if they temporarily want to display no Posts under one category.

    Hi,
This may be a good idea, for example “Sorry there is not posts to show” or something like this.. Or simply a textbox where the user can write its own text when the category is empty, or a checkbox to hide the widget..

The idea is that the user doesn’t have to modify the widgets, he’ll just create/modify/delete its articles (:

It could be great, thanks !

agree completely with the need for this… we are using your widget for upcoming events… and when there is nothing coming up, it would be great for it say “sorry, nothing available right now” or better yet, be able to customize that in the widget depending on the context needed!

our client does not want to learn how to update/add/change widgets… so being able to automate the function that there is nothing available would be super helpful.

    Hi Guys,

I’ve added this as feature request (Enhancement) to our plugin on Github repo. It’ll added to our plugin soon.

    Have a nice day, Cheers!

Hi, we added a little feature for hiding the widget, if there aren’t posts to display. Please give us feedback, if you tested this little feature and it will be useful to add a text if no posts to display.

    Hi,
It works perfectly, and I think next time you can, that way, show all the categories in the Category list, with this existent option. Showing a text can be very useful for a lot of people too, in my opinion. Thank you very much, good job ! ^^

Hi my site says Sorry, there are no posts to display. how can I fix that?

    Hello Andreaprimo,
can you describe us the problem in more detail or give a link to your website?
So I think that has nothing to do with the widget but you’ve linked a category in your menu or call otherwise a category page, which has no posts?
    Greetings
    Daniel
