Hide WP-Admin Area

Sorry if this is covered somewhere, I couldn’t find it. Can I block subscribers/users from seeing the Admin backend area? Or maybe change it so that Dashboard and Edit My Profile links in the toolbar redirect to the User Profile page within the plugin?
