• I was wondering if there was anyway to hide pages listed in the right listing on the theme editor page. I’d like to hide the ones I don’t want users to edit. I know I can set permissions to keep them from breaking things, but the ideal solution would be to just hide them and only show the ones I have opened up for editing. Any ideas?

  • Are the “users” all on Administrator level? Otherwsie they don’t have the ability to edit any of the template files!

Even if it’s just the 1 or 2 admins, I’d like them to only see the files I want them to see…

If it’s admin – can edit the theme. Period.
Make them something else – like Authors.

You can NOT limit the access of admins to only selected theme files. At least not out of the box. Maybe if you write a plugin… I don’t know.

P.S. Edited your title: you don’t want to hide Pages, but files.

OK, thanks. I can limit their ability to edit via the theme editor with permissions, which gets me 75% of the way there.
