Hiding files uploaded to Media Library from appearing in site searches

  • Is it possible to hide images, PDF files, etc. that have been uploaded to the uploads folder (Media Library), from appearing in site searches? I’m referring to searches from within the site.

    I’m wondering if adding the following entry to the robots.txt file will do it:

    ‘ Disallow: /wp-content/uploads/’
