• Hey @kylephillips

Just updated the plugin on a dev site just to test the new Admin Menu Customization functionality, in the settings I hid just “Comments” from the menu and upon doing so, it is hiding all child menu items in the main navigation until I disable Nested Pages altogether.

Going to try to revert back to the previous version to hopefully fix the issue.

    Thanks.

I will take a look at this issue. In the mean time, you can deselect the checkbox next to “Admin Menu” and update. This will turn off any settings/customizations.

Are you using any other plugins that alter the output of the admin menu that you know of?

I’ve tested this on several sites without issue… any info you have would be helpful in debugging.

I reverted back already, but as I mentioned, it did disable all “child” menu items so I couldn’t even get back to the Nested Pages settings menu under Settings afterwards to “deselect” that checkbox.

It is a dev site so we didn’t have anything setup yet with Adminimize as we typically set that up after the site goes live. Other then that, there are no other plugins in the site that alter the menu appearance.

Let me know if I can be of any further help.

    Thanks

So I just tried updating to 3.1.2 and it seems maybe my first go around with trying to adjust Admin Menu settings, it is remembering the previous setting and still hiding 90% of child menu items, not allowing me to get into any of the Settings once I update.

So, I had to go into the database and delete the “nestedpages_admin” entry from the wp-options table in order to have access back to all of the child menu items.

With doing so, going back to the Nested Pages -> Admin Customization settings two things are happening:

    1. Checking the Admin box and clicking “Save” removes the child menus again – https://screencast.com/t/TJX3Qlf8

    2. Reording menu items in the Nested Pages UI saves, but has no effect on the actual menu itself – https://screencast.com/t/uW8qQxXd7f

    Any thoughts?
