I’m redoing an established page and have settled on the Ultra theme. The client has tons of menu items. I like the small, 3-line dropdown menu on the right side for this, but don’t know how to keep the items from showing up in the scrolling nav bar. There are maybe 15 of them, so it takes up nearly the whole screen.

    Hi @shelbywall

    Thanks for reaching out.

You can serve the mobile menu to all visitors by increase the Mobile Menu Collapse at Appearance > Theme Settings > Navigation > Mobile Menu Collapse. Using 2000 as your value would serve the mobile menu to most users.

Unfortunately, at this stage the mobile menu doesn’t work with the sticky menu. It’s definitely something we can improve upon in the future. At the time of development it wasn’t seen as a popular use case.

The sticky menu can be enabled/disabled from Appearance > Theme Settings.

Sorry we don’t have better news. If you ever wanted to use a third-party mobile menu, we’d be happy to help integrate into the Ultra header.

Hi Andrew, thanks for your quick response.
I’m fine with the mobile menu living below the sticky menu; obviously it would be cool to have it scroll too, but it’s fine where it is.
I just need to find a way to hide the links in the sticky menu, if that makes sense. You can see a screencap of my problem here: https://imgur.com/a/X5kAd
Basically, it looks fine in the preview (second image) but shows all the list items on the actual site.
    Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback. Is the site publically accessible? If so, please, could we take a look.

Unfortunately, it’s the company’s intranet site and is not available to users off our wifi network. Those screencaps are about as much access as I can give.

No problem. I’m struggling to recreate the problem and understand when the screenshots are happening.

    1. What do you have Theme Settings > Navigation > Mobile Menu Collapse set to?

    2. When do you see the first screenshot happening?

    3. When do you see the second screenshot happening?

    Thanks.

    1. Responsive top bar is enabled. Screenshot of all nav settings here: https://imgur.com/jX6JX8h
    2. Screenshot 1 happens in my browser whenever I go to the site.
    3. Screenshot 2 happens when I preview the site from basically anywhere in /wp-admin/ interface.

    Thanks ??

To use the mobile menu for all devices, change the Mobile Menu Collapse setting. Right now it’s set to 1024, change it to 3000.

That’s perfect! Thank you so much!
