Hierarchical Category List

I have a knowledge base post type pod and a knowledge base taxonomy pod. I’d like to display a list of the categories in the sidebar of the archive. I’ve figured out how to list the categories via widget or short code, but it’s an alphabetical list, with the subcategories mixed in. Is it possible to make it hierarchical? With the subcategories nested under their respective parents?
