Hierarchy?

  • correct me if I am wrong but I was thinkng that I could have a gallery with many albums in it and then many photos in each album.

    I can create a gallery, I can create an album, I can upload imagines.. BUT… I cant get the album in the gallery and when I upload images i cant select the album to be the destination.. only the gallery….

    Im assuming I am missing something somewhere?

  • The hierarchy works the other way round. Photos go in galleries, galleries go in albums. Albums can also go in albums.

    Hmm thats completely backwards from all gallery software I have ever used. You sure that is correct????

    Is there some documentation that will explain to me how to set up the hierarchy? so that albums have multiple galleries in it?

    I want one main album and i want many galleries within it.

    Yes. As you said yourself, you can only upload images into galleries.

    Typically I just create a gallery, or several, upload images into them then if I need an album for grouping/hierarchy purposes I create one then drag/drop a gallery (or galleries) into the album.
