High Hopes that didn't deliver

  • I don’t know whats going on with this plugin! So far absolutely the worst one.

    When I make changes to the A version it automatically makes a B version with 128 views and 1 conversion, where it gets that is beyond me and changes my A version to a past past past version. I have to make a copy of the existing content before I save it for fear of spontaneous changes.

    You can’t make any changes to the pages without it creating other variations.

    I was excited to find something so fitting to our needs but was severely disappointed with all the bugs that come with it.

    Sounds like you have some other issues going on.

    Deactivate all other plugins and try again

    You also need php 5.3 or higher.

    Please install the health check plugin and verify your site runs on PHP version 5.3 or greater. https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/

    Sometimes hosting providers display incorrect information about what version you are running and you need to install the health check plugin to verify.

    If it is not greater than 5.3.3. You need to contact your hosting provider for them to upgrade. PHP 5.3.3 came out in 2010

    Sounds like a plugin/theme conflict, then.

    To test for a theme conflict:

    1. Activate default Twenty Ten, Eleven, Twelve, or Thirteen theme
    2. Check to see if the issue still occurs
    3. If the issue does not occur after having activated the default “Twenty” theme, your theme is causing a conflict with landing pages.

    To test for a plugin conflict:

    1. Deactivate ALL plugins
    2. Activate Landing Pages
    3. Check to see if the issue occurs

    If the issue does not occur, one (or more) of your plugins is causing a conflict with Landing Pages.

    To determine which plugin(s) is causing the conflict, follow these steps:

    1. Activate each plugin one by one
    2. Check to see if the issue occurs after each plugin is activated

    Started fresh, new website, new installs. Built a new letter, erased the plugin included letters. and here are the problems im running into.

    -it freezes after I insert a form or just hit the marketing button to view options. won’t unfreeze until I update the page. Is this by design?

    -paragraph tags disappear <p> or won’t work, and I can’t make a new paragraph otherwise even when using the return or new line short cut. Strips paragraph tags, makes a 3 paragraph letter in to one long column.

    -Conversion form placements don’t keep their position in each version independently.

    -Custom CSS doesn’t clone over for new version

    Let me know if a new version for WP 4.0 is in the works. Im using 4.0
