I’m sorry that you had a bad experience.

I agree with you that if you just want to have one page with a small list of links this plugin is overkill.

However, if you want to manage multiple lists of links and be able to sort or organize them by category. Then add links on the fly or allow others to add links to lists without knowing or having access to the content then it would be way harder to maintain them manually.

This plugin was created to streamline advanced link management.
