High Render Blocking Resources

    I have used your plug in for a while and tinkered around with it. I really like it, I just have never been able to figure out the magic formula for removing render blocking resources, which keeps my site speed rating low. I have attempted to mess with settings, but sometimes I break things. I am not super technical, so I am unsure what risks certain settings have.

    Is there any way you can help based on what you are seeing?

    Have a look at the “eliminate render-blocking CSS” option, but do take into account you’ll have to either;

    a) generate & copy/paste the “above the fold CSS” in the field below (more info in the AO FAQ, look for “inline & defer CSS”) OR
    b) create manual rules on the “critical CSS” tab (generating critical css for each rule) OR
    c) take a subscription over at criticalcss and paste your API in the field on the critical CSS tab

    I looked at that and I am afraid to break something not knowing what is critical CSS due to my lack of technical knowledge.

    well, look at the FAQ entries on that matter, there are links to services that will generate/ extract the critical CSS for you ??

    if it doesn’t work simply disable the “remove render-blocking CSS”-option, clear page caches and you’re where you were ??
