    Hello,

This is the intended behavior. The link gets highlighted when its corresponding section takes the majority of the viewport.

The highlight feature of the plugin is user-centric. What I mean by this, is that the feature is there to indicate to the user which section of the page he/she’s currently browsing/viewing.

As an example, when the last part of a section takes 2/3 of the viewport and the first part of the next/below section takes the rest of 1/3 of it, the section with the 2/3 is highlighted. This is because the user is actually still reading the last parts of the section and not the first part of the next section.

The next section becomes highlighted when it reaches approximately the middle of the screen. This is because users start reading sections when they scrolled to them at least to the middle of the viewport (i.e. their line of sight).

In other words, just because a section is a few pixels inside the viewport (below or above), it does not mean that the user is actually reading this section.

I hope all this makes sense.

In short, plugin’s highlight feature is there to indicate which section the user actually reads, not which section touches (or passes) the top or bottom of the viewport.
