Highlight or Bold current page item in Flexi Pages with sub pages

  • Is this possible? Using the normal .current_page_item or other CSS wayus of doing this in wordpress makes the parent pages go bold or whatever you set it to no problem but once you click onto a sub page, it bold all of the sub pages not just the one you are on?

    for example

    Parent
    child page 1
    child page 2

    If im on child page 2 and i want .current_page_item to be bold, both child 1 and 2 are bold butif im on parent page just that 1 is bold
