• Hi Everyone,

I am relatively new to WordPress and just got handed down my org’s site so please bear with me.

My WordPress recently updated to version 5.5 and that is when everything started going south. My Customizer is stuck on “Please wait, this might take awhile” loading page. To troubleshoot this, I upgraded my themes, and that is when I got the message to activate my Highlight PRO license to received continued support and updates.

I used the Chrome Inspector to debug the Customizer page and it says “Uncaught ReferenceError: wpColorPickerL10n is not defined”. I did some research and realized colors can only be changed in the PRO version of the theme. Does this mean that due to my expired license, the theme did not properly update and is now not compatible with WP 5.5?

I have also been looking at other posts such as this one (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/help-wordpress-5-5-update-crashing-elementor-color-picker-issue/) and it seems as if a lot of people are having color picker issues with the new WordPress version update.

Because we are a nonprofit, I don’t want to pay for a new license if the issue lies in the WordPress version update, so any help/insight would be greatly appreciated!
