Highlight query terms in documents conflict with WP Bakery
-
With Highlight query terms in documents turned on, the added query string (?highlight) seems to interfere with the WP Bakery Post Grid element.
e.g. on my test site if you search for free coaching tools (https://staging-tctc.kinsta.com/?scope=entire&s=free+coaching+tools) then click on the link for the Free Coaching Tools and Resources page (https://staging-tctc.kinsta.com/free_coaching_tools/?highlight=free%20coaching%20tools) the ALPHABETICAL LIST OF ALL OUR FREE COACHING TOOLS AND RESOURCES (at the end of the page) is not populated. This is displayed using the WPBakery post grid element.
If I remove the query string (https://staging-tctc.kinsta.com/free_coaching_tools/) this works just fine.
Also if I change the parameter (https://staging-tctc.kinsta.com/free_coaching_tools/?test=free%20coaching%20tools) this also works.
I have turned off the highlighting on my live site.
Also – at the moment the highlight parameter gets added to the menu items, which maybe isn’t necessary (that’s how we noticed this glitch) as clicking on a menu item isn’t really clicking on a search result.
Thank you!
