Hi – we’ve been using the plugin for a while now. It works well in most cases, but we see a very odd bit of behavior.

If we search “a few facts” then the first result page is perfect – it finds these matches and highlights the phrase.

But if I then click the article to read it, the highlighting in the article itself is ONLY highlighting every instance of “a”.

“Few facts” is not highlighted at all on the post itself. Since “a” appears in so many words, this is not useful highlighting, but the fact that we lost the 2nd and 3rd word in the highlight – is this a bug?

Are you aware of this issue?

    Thanks

    Bill

  • Hi Bill,

Not really a bug but rather in inconsistency or discrepancy between the plugin’s take on search terms and the (improved) WordPress search function. Thanks for pointing it out ??

I’ve released a new version 1.4 that should be more consistent with the WordPress search. In your example case, ignoring the “a” in both the search results page and the post/page/post_type after click-through from the search results.

Please let me know if you find any issues!
