Hijacked, copy url,

  • Help .. .here is my problem.

    ok im new to building any kind of website and well I just put a site together. I don’t know anything about anything. Databases, sql, my wordpress site which is a theme I uploaded. But I did notice this. ive scanned my computer.. scanned using wordfence. Here is what im coming up with. I noticed I would go to this url and my site would show up. https://countrycousinstore.com/ but I am at trimandwin.com. Can someone tell me in laymen’s terms what to do. I know it has to be bad.

    alaskavv: Your site being posted here or not didn’t actually change anything. Your site is being accessed by automated bots because *that’s what bots do*. There is no way to stop it or prevent it. Everybody gets those. You ignore them, basically.

    I’ve had the exact same issue happen to me today, from the same IP, trying to access the exact same page, strange.

    I just banned the IP address and I’ll probably look into blocking access by China, Russia and some other Asian countries, as the only traffic I’ve had from these sites are trying to brute my login and access 404s, cheeky people.

    Sorry for doublepost, but I’ve just done a bit of research and it seems that the path OP and myself people have had (tried to) access is for the media upload. I assume that this would enable someone to plant malicious files onto your website.

    I was gonna post an example but I don’t think that’d be fair to site owner if it is a security risk

    Hopefully this helps anyone else who come across this problem
