Hirarchic Album

    Hey there.

    I am about to renew the while structure of my photos in kayhelena.work.

    It shall become hirarchic according to taxonometric structure. As I understood an Album can contain one or more galleries and may have a parent Album… I hoped SimpLy Gallery will serve this.

    The result shall bei Like that:

    Inside a site a include an album “Nature” by shortcode.

    “Nature” hast a Slider Gallery and ist parent of Album “Mineralis”, “Plantae”, “Vertebrata” and “Fungi” which are parent to other album, too. AS the hirarchi deepens the album May finally be linked with a Gallery containing pictures.

    I expected the top level to show all pictures below it. I also expected to see the next deeper album titles to choose from. I expected to go one level deeper if I choose “Vertebrata” and then only see the pictures and album below that. And so on… Mammalia… Finally Canis.

    but I have to confess… I cannot manage it.

    Is Simply Gallery a dead end?

    Hello,

    the album combines galleries and is a navigation menu for its galleries (galleries inside the album). An album cannot be part of another album.

    Thank you. At least I can now stop searching for the right way…

    Is there anything I can do with custom code to achieve it?

    If you have knowledge in programming and know the intricacies of the WordPress structure, then of course add the code to the plugin and achieve what you want. All in your hands.
