• In my rush to switch over to www.ads-software.com for my blog, I hired the wrong host. I never was able to import my backup files and finally reached the point where all I got when clicking on anything was an error message that the server wasn’t responding. I talked with them about this, and finally I decided to terminate my relationship with them.

My problem now is that they haven’t yet cleaned things up on their end and when I attempt to open anything on my blog an irritating page that they call Domain Default Page appears leaving the impression that I’m not blogging or something similar.

What can I do to get that erroneous crap down?

My blog can be found at https://sherreymeyer.com.

  • Hi SherreyA,

Sites show the default Plesk Page if they are suspended or if the web server is misconfigured. You should get in contact with your hosting provider or transfer your domain to another hosting company.

    Good luck.

Alex, thanks for your response. I am in the process of transferring things over to BlueHost. The old host is working on getting me back to where I was before I started the move! Guess my dad was right — we learn from our mistakes!

Also be sure to delete any index.htm or index.html page. Many servers are configured to load those files before looking for a .php file.

If you need to move the site again (you mentioned bluehost) this plugin will make your life much easier https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/duplicator/

    Hope that helps ??
