Hiring Full Time Lead Developer

The Blog Studio is a Toronto based web design and development firm specializing in content driven sites, blogs, and other forms of social media.

In the three years we’ve been in business, we’ve worked with 100s of clients, including Turner Broadcasting, Fox News, Unicef, and many more. Additionally we’re about to launch a fully funded network of socially driven content sites.

Skills and qualifications we’re looking for include:
– University or College degree in a related field preferred
– 3+ years of industry experience
– Proven expertise in each of PHP, Javascript, xhtml and CSS
– Experience with CodeIgniter or other PHP frameworks a plus
– Experience working with Expression Engine and WordPress a big plus

Environment
We largely work in a virtual environment, meeting face to face once or twice per week. Ideally the successful candidate will be located in the Toronto area, but we are open to working with a remote developer, assuming the candidate has demonstrated the ability to work without direct supervision, and is available during business hours in the Eastern time zone.
