hiring someone?

can anyone point me to a place or something where i could hire someone to consult/train a little im not trying to pay some company, i know peoples work is worth the rates and everything but im hoping to find someone who would like to help, and make some cash as well, im not looking for a business to hire.. what im looking for is probably not hard but i need to be sure i have some things in place here soon and learn a little on how to maintain things.. and unfortunately im not understanding a lot of the help posts and pages available for free here ??
