Hmm, Pinged myself & Custum Field

You don’t have to ping search engines to get indexed. Search engine send out bots which crawl every single page on the internet every day. You ping Update Services to show that your blog was updated. People use these services to receive emails when their favorite blogs are updated.

Your blog is pinging itself because you have “PingBack the URIs in this post ?” checked. Your JPEG is a URI in your post. You can uncheck this below your post as you’re typing it.

I’ll be shutting the pingin service off as I now have 12 robots crawling through my site every day.
But what about the Key; Enclosure; Action thing?

That shouldn’t happen. When you upload the image (via the “Upload” button in the main menu bar, you are presented with the HTML code to display the image. All you have to do is copy that code directly into the post. It should look something like this:
<img src="https://www.domain.com/wordpress/images/image1.jpg" alt="Image 1" />

I ‘m not quite sure if you understand what I mean, because uploading pics goes just fine Can I paste an image here in the forum?,

That seems to be a pretty good explanation.
I think with these it’s a case of if you want to use it, you need to read a bit, and if you don’t you can completely ignore it.

Keys:
I do use them (I forgot). I use Custom Comment things (when I remember) from https://www.chrisjdavis.org/, and to use, I choose the ‘custom comment’ key, then put in the value. That probably makes no sense whatsoever ….
