If you log into WordPress, using the left-hand links, click on “Appearance” then, under appears on the left-hand menu click “Menus”.
You may see a dropdown at the top where you can select the menu to modify. You can click the “Manage Locations” tab at the top to see which menu is assigned where. You’re specifically looking for the “Main Menu” or something along those lines that will allow you to manage the menu items for your main navigation.
Once you have the menu selected you should be able to just remove those sub-menu items entirely.
]]>Thanks for the advice. This helps.
But more specifically, if you look on the sidear on the New posts page, there is “Recent posts” section. The top post is “WEL COME TO THE PRESENT FINDERS. COM”.
This is item is hidden from all pages apart from the static homepage, Where it shows as my homepage station slider image.
I am trying to remove this from the “Recent posts” menu. So it doesn’t show up anywhere on my site, other than the homepage?
With thanks
Ian
Appearance -> Widgets
. Here you can remove it entirely if you’d like, otherwise you’ll need something more advanced like the Recent Posts Widget – Extended Plugin
An idea is you assign all your homepage slider posts to a specific category, then exclude that category using the extended widget. The vanilla/default Recent Posts widget just doesn’t have that capability/functionality built in.
