    I’m starting a fresh topic.

In my pages editor, the page I want to have as the front page is indeed labeled Front Page and functions as that.

However, I’m missing the Front Page Template, if I ad one, it appears as the blog page, NOT my assigned from Page. How do I fix that?

Also, the same problem exists with the home template!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi, no worries, we’ve all been stuck at one point or another. You would need to edit the Front Page template, please follow the steps from my previous post to reach the page where you can edit the Front Page template.

    Editing the Front Page template

On the left hand side menu, bring up the List View of the structure of the Front Page template (pls refer to the image above).

From there you can see all the elements on the Front Page template. You can remove the ones you don’t need; for example, the Query Loop block if you don’t want to show blog posts on the Home page. What you do need to add is the Post Content block — this block will take all the content of your main page and show them on the Front Page template.

Please see this link for a refresher on how to create a Front Page for your website — https://learn.www.ads-software.com/tutorial/creating-a-front-page-for-a-block-theme/

    Good luck!

Gerry, on your last post, I understand and follow you well. It appears that if I leave the front page template out of the mix (don’t add that template, or remove it respecitvely) the static page reappears out of thin air. Something appears to be wrong, maybe a bug in my setup?

If I disable the front page template entirely, as I am saying, the static page reappears. This is weird! I’d like to fix it for the future when things might get worse?

UPDATE, you posted just at the same time I did. I just removed the query stuff and added the Post Content Bock. Eureka!

    However, new problem:

When I check my page in a browser not with the editor, the entire page takes up my montor’s full window area. Is there an easy fix?
