Home — Front Page ignored

    Home — Front Page is ignored from counting. How to make it visible to WordPress Popular Posts? The website URL is: https://healingmentaldisorders.com (it is the home front page). I need it in the list of Popular Posts. I put number of pages 12, should be OK but it didn’t count from the beginning. Thank you.

    Home — Front Page is ignored from counting.

    This is by design, and for two good reasons:

    1. WPP deliberately exclude visits to archive pages and the home page for performance reasons (writing to the DB every time someone visits your main page can have an impact on the speed of your site, specially if you get a lot of visitors every day), and

    2. The home page is, in 99% of cases, the most visited page of the site. Having it always displayed at the top of the list doesn’t make much sense in most cases (and people actually asked me to exclude it for this reason, which I did.)

    Thank you for explanation. Now I understand the reason. I agree with it completely.
