"Home" is coming up in title

Go to the Dashboard and click on Settings (you’ll need to be logged in as an administrator) and then click on General in the setting list.

Look at Site Title – is it correct?

BobNwp – Before the site title, “Home” is getting prefixed. I dont want that. I’m not adding that in the title. Check my website – https://www.autodevot.com

I went to your site and I see the Home at the start of the title.

However, when I clicked the New link, I got News as the first part of the title.

That is the case with all the links I tried (all in the main menu bar)

Whatever it is, it is appending the “name” of the page to the title.

I also clicked on other links on your pages and they all come up with one or more words describing the page.

I’ve not updated to 4.4 so I don’t know if it is something added in 4.4 but it seems to be consistent across all of your pages.

Given that it accurately describes the pages, I wound not worry about “fixing” it but I would be curious as to where it some from.

Maybe someone else will come along and be able to nail this one.

I just went and looked at some of the other pages and it is more than just one word being added but it does apply to the page.

I like the way the title is being presented, it clearly tells what the page is about.

BobNwp – in the Settings > General, in the site title section, i’ve written
“Autodevot”. And in the tag line section, I’ve written “Automotive World News | Car News and Reviews | Upcoming Cars in India”. Until yesterday, the title in the home page was displaying this > Automotive World News | Car News and Reviews | Upcoming Cars in India. In the rest of the pages, it was displaying the post title as usual. But after i updated the wordpress, it is prefixing “Home” in the home page title. The problem is with the home page title. Rest of the pages are fine.
