• Great theme – very easy to use and edit. Thank you!

I am having two issues though, the main one being the 4-columns homepage section. I currently am only using two columns, which is fine. Icon changes are all easy and ready to go.

The issue I am having is that I don’t want the content of the page I am directing to, be the only text there. It looks like a huge paragraph with a […] at the end. It doesn’t look clean at all.

    Can I customize:
    1. The title for each column
    2. The content for each column

    Example: https://goo.gl/PGjGF6

Second quick request. I am having major issues with the jumbotron padding. The top and bottom I have customized, but left and right just won’t budge. Example: https://goo.gl/KUFGc8 – Where am I going wrong in the stylesheet?

    Thank you for your help!!

Hello roryjobrien! Thanks for the kind words.

For the 4 columns – the page excerpts are shown under the icons by default. In order to explicitly specify an excerpt for a post or a page, go to the page/post edit screen. Click on “Screen Options” in the top right. See this screenshot: https://prntscr.com/csmy4q It would open a ‘drawer’ like this: https://prntscr.com/csmyaj Make sure “Excerpt” is checked. Now scroll down to see the “Excerpt” field (it should be after the content editor): https://prntscr.com/csmzcg Whatever you enter in here will be shown on the home page and any place where the post/page excerpts are being displayed.

For the padding – I am afraid I am a bit confused about what you need. You are trying to add some left and right padding to the top area?

    Awesome, thank you. That worked!

For the padding issue: I’m trying to shrink the width of the gray box to make it a rectangle instead of that large gray window extending the entire width of the page. I’m trying to make it look like a small table of contents for that page (and any others that use the jumbotron). The tops and bottoms of the gray box are a perfect padding %.

Basically, trying to get rid of the extra left and right empty gray space. Does that make sense?

Oh yes, but that won’t be possible with that area. That area spans across the width of the page because that’s how it is coded in the template. Theoretically, we can control it using CSS but you’d be better off just hiding that area and recreating the grey block in the content area.

Also, because the theme doesn’t allow for content in that banner area at all, it is just for housing the banner images. If you want to show text in there, I would suggest moving it to the content area and styling accordingly.
