• Hi,

I would like to have a static ‘home’ page with a list of posts, and I would like the header to display the title of the current page. My first issue is that the list of articles (on the ‘home’ page) only contains the title of the page. Additionally, my ‘blog’ page displays the title of a post as the page title. Can you help with this?

I’m sorry, I’m a beginner with WordPress. I hope I’m clear, and my English isn’t too bad.

    Thx

WordPress 6.4.2 (Twenty Twenty Four Theme) with no plugin.

EDIT : First issue resolved for the ‘home’ page :

    1. Select the ‘Query Loop’ (for the list of posts)
    2. Select ‘Block’
    3. Disable ‘Inherit query from template’
    4. Select ‘Post’
    5. That’s it !

  • Hi there,

I’m not sure if I understood. Do you have examples of your post title showing as my blog page’s title?

Do you mean with the post title showing twice on the page (such as my screenshot below)?

How you wanted it to look like?

Thank you very much for your answer.

I would like the ‘Blog’ page to be displayed in the header as ‘Blog’ and not the title of the latest post as shown in the image below.

Hi @jeus84 – that should be possible. If you go and edit the ‘Blog Home’ template it looks like the ‘Post Title’ block is being used in that top title location.

You could remove that – and manually add a title that says ‘Blog’. Could you please give that a try and see how it goes?
