Home page and Sub-menus

Hello!

Just a few questions:

Home page: https://www.therinkofdreams.com/
1. How can I size images so that they are not being cut off? What is the optimal dimensions for Home page photos?
2. The pause button when clicked displays a broken link to the Play button image. When clicked again the pause button image does not return.
3. How can I remove the two small black boxes directly above the image count (ie 1/5, 2/5, ect)?

Sub-menus:
The sub-menus from the main menu side bar do not completely display on pages where the gallery slider I’m using (Cyclone Slider) is being used. How can I ensure the sub-menus display on top of the gallery images? Example pages:
