For some weird reason when the last post on our site was posted it seemed to mess things up..

After we published our page it now automatically forwards the home page to this page

    home page:
    https://www.parksidechurch.com.au/

post page it automatically forwards to:
    https://www.parksidechurch.com.au/2009/03/back-to-basics-image-a-great-response/

It was happening in version 2.5.1 and now 2.7.1 (just upgraded today), I have checked all the usual suspects, but can’t find where it is calling it from.

    I have checked:
    – redirect plugin (no)
    – General settings (blog and website address – no)

We even deleted the post, but it then tries to forward to the post and gives the usual 404 page not found error.

    Help would be appreciated..

    Thanks
    Carl

  • Hello

Something is definitely redirecting your home page. I do see you have the redirection plugin in your plugins folder – you may want to double check to see if that is the culprit.

Double checked but only stuff from the old system in there…plus it has only happened once we added this post for some reason?

And as I said when we delete the post and visit the home page, it still tries to forward to the post page.

I also checked our .hyaccess file..and nothing in there to say go to this page either?

    Thanks

I found it..it was the redirection plugin but not where I expected it..I deactivated all plugins then re-activated 1 by 1..then once I turned that one on it happened..so now I just disabled that plugin as the search engines have now updated their links from our old site…

It might have been one of the updates to the plugin..

    ??
