• Hey Wp ppl

I recently done a wp installation and have one small problem. The installation was in a subdomain but I’ve moved it to the root. The problem is the home page button is still linked to the subdomain. Take a look at https://cbtafrica.co.za

  • It could be a setting in your Theme, if you are using a theme that has a configuration accessible from the dashboard.

Alternatively, it might be hard coded in the theme and you have to change the php file manually. Typically it would be in header.php which can be found in your theme directory.

    Hey Thanks for the reply.

I’ve checked both and neither helped.

Any other way I could do it? Like with an htaccess file?

Did you give this a read?

A database search and replace should find that home link and fix it. See the link in that article and make sure your DB is backed up first.
