home page cannot be index

    I’m using yoast seo and i’ve found this message.
    I’ve tried to search my homepage on google and actually is not index.

    Looking into my robots.txt i’m seeing this:

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /wp-admin/

    Is this correct? I dont’ know what i need to modify to make my site work fine!
    Can someone help me please?

  • I’m having the same problem.
    Your robots.txt is fine, it’s not blocking the home page – it’s the same set up I have and onpage.org (the suggestion this plugin gives me) doesn’t do anything to tell me why my homepage isn’t indexable.

    Read this WP support thread for more info on this annoying problem.

    You are probably running Wordfence. I would NOT suggest turning off Wordfence to fix this problem.

    Yoast has been ignoring this issue for too long.
