Suddenly all pages/posts/categories/archives and everything else brings up a 404 error on my site, but the homepage works fine. Anyone have any ideas what could be going on? I have changed two things recently on my site but do not see why either would do this.

1st is that i sold two adds on two single posts. (i tried removing the plugin that sells the adds but still didnt work)

2nd added a domain pointer for another site pointing to another folder (not my root folder). Also tried removing this, but still didnt work.

I also tried changing the theme, but no luck. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  • I don’t know what your problem is with links or redirect but text like this . . .
    **Attention Internet Explorer Users**
This site looks and works best with Firefox 2 and WORST
with IE 6 (for example, random images don’t fit in sidebar)
Get Firefox with Google Toolbar for better browsing
. . . on a “commercial” site, you will just chase customers away.

Your site also totally fails validation here which is probably why it may not look good to all visitors.

I am having this same issue. Ive read that there was a similar thing going on in the WordPress community.

The real odd thing is I haven’t touch my site in weeks. I didn’t even know it was happening.

The good people at WordPress found a solution but I could not find any documentation on it.

If anyone has any insight on this that would be wonderful.

    Thanks.

Your site seems to be working fine for me…unless you are referring to one that is not on your profile?

Ok, I found a similar post that said to make your Permalinks the default and change it back to whatever you had it before.

It seemed to work for me. what it did was rewrote the htaccess file to the way it should have been.

    Good luck!
