HOME PAGE HELP

Hi there: I am trying to edit my Home page within the Pages menu. The editing from the Pages menu looks entirely different than the actual Home page and from the menu within the Customize link. Is there a setting I am missing?

My blog is in maintenance mode so I have included a dropbox link to screenshots showing what I’m talking about. Any help appreciated.
