Home page in 2 languages

Hi, here is the website I am actually building, https://www.myinternshipabroad.com .

I have an issue concerning the “language switcher” in fact, I want my site to be in 2 languages (french and english) I use qtranslate to translate all the pages (worked well) but for the home page I still don’t understand how to do it.

because the home page isn’t a page like the others (I cannot access it by the wordpress pannel I have to go to the php files) I can’t enter the text for both english and french and if I change the text (in the php) it stays the way it is and doesn’t switch from english to french when I want.

Here is what I would like: the home page with 2 little flags (either on top or inside the 3rd column on the right) and if I click on one or the other it switchs…. it doesn’t seem that difficult but it is turning me crazy right now!

I hope some of you wp savvy person will help me with that!
