• Hi,

I have just noticed that when I go to view the home page within Customise it doesn’t load the page preview on the right. It gives me and error message saying; examplewebsite.co.uk redirected you too many times.

But, I can view and edit as normal any other page within the website.

Also, once in ‘Customise’ I can switch the static Front Page from the current to another and back to the correct home page and it will display fine and allow me ti work on it. But as soon as it is then saved, and refreshed it doesn’t load and it shows the error message again.

I have tried disabling my plugins, but still no joy.

    Thanks.

Have you tried renaming your .htaccess file to .htaccess-old? Just rename and do not delete it. I want to see if the redirect still happens after that.

    Hi Jan,

Sorry about the duplicated posts, I wasn’t sure which one to post it in.

As with regards to renaming the .htaccess file, I have just done that and it has not made any difference.

Reading another post on another forum, after I change the permalinks on WordPress from post name to plain it works perfectly fine. Is that any help?

Any more advice on how to solve this problem? I have searched through countless posts online and none of the suggested fixes has solved the issue.

    Thanks.
