    Hello,
    I have a big problem with my site home page not set up for Google.

    I checked home page with Yoast from the admin and it says site is indexed, however Google console and Ryte are saying that the page is not indexed?

    I checked the header of the page and sure enough I found this piece of code:
    <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex,follow”>

    I have checked Yoast settings, and everything seems to be in order, Try as I might I can’t get rid of this!

    Any help most appreciated.
    Baz.

    Furthermore the only references I get on a Google search are to images not pages. The whole thing is a bit of a mess…….

    Hi @bazwald,

    We checked your site’s source code and noticed that the “noindex” tag is not generated by Yoast but LayerSlider. Please disable plugins or theme functions that conflict with Yoast’s generated tags.

    Hello,
    Thank’s very much for the heads up.
    I was about to give up with it. You pointed me in the right direction
    With help from THE 7 guys it is sorted

    It was Woocommerce. I had inadvertently set the Home Page to the Accounts Page.
    It must automatically configure it to no index. It was all my fault.

    Thanks again for your help.
    Baz.
